Common Barn Owl

Barn Owls tend to be elusive, so this is about the only way you could make a close study of one. The Bird Hall in the San Bernardino County Museum, where this workshop took place has a very impressive collection.

The participants of the workshop get to touch a select number of the exhibits, which helps in having a greater understanding of the subject, enabling you to depict a more exact and creative drawing.

Observational Drawing

It helps to have your drawing subject close at hand, so you can really see the amazing beauty and detail. Observational drawing takes a lot of patience, but is essential for the growth of an artist.
